Description
A hound's head carved in hardwood — long muzzle, heavy jowls, ears folded flat against the skull the way they fall on a real dog at rest. The carver has left the chisel marks in the coat, which is exactly what stops it looking machine-made, and the piece meets the shaft in a chased silver-tone ferrule.
