Description
The Rover Trail Pack is what happens when a Colorado brand that made its name on city backpacks decides to build something that can genuinely go up a mountain. It sits in the space most packs miss: technical enough for a full day above treeline, plain-spoken enough that nobody in the office asks about it. Topo Designs has been working that seam since 2008, and the Trail Pack is the clearest expression of it in the current line.
Recycled nylon in two weights does the structural work here, with the coarser fabric placed where a pack actually gets dragged across granite and airport floors and a lighter ripstop everywhere else. A PFC-free DWR finish keeps a grey afternoon from turning into a problem. Made in Vietnam, priced honestly, and built to be used rather than admired.
