The Patagonia Black Hole MLC 45L is the flagship Maximum Legal Carry-On: sized to the largest carry-on most airlines allow, with no wheels or telescoping handle eating into the volume you paid for. Inside is a large main compartment with two interior organization pockets and a drop-in top pocket, plus a padded laptop pocket that fits most 15" laptops alongside documents and cords and zips open flat for TSA.
Convert it on the fly between backpack, shoulder bag, and duffel — the straps tuck away when they're not in use, and the padded, stowable hip belt doubles as the shoulder strap. A wide webbing loop on the back panel serves as a haul handle or slips over rolling-luggage handles, and external lash points take extra gear.
