Description
Osprey built the Ace 38 for the moment a young hiker is ready to carry their own overnight kit. The torso length slides through four inches of travel, so the pack that fits a ten-year-old this summer still fits them two seasons later — and a tensioned mesh back panel keeps air moving between pack and spine on hot climbs.
It is a genuine scaled-down backpacking pack rather than a school bag with straps: 38 litres, a 5–20 lb load range and a 2.98 lb empty weight, with the same buckles, frame and adjustment logic used on Osprey's adult packs.
