Description
The Klettersack is the bag Topo Designs started with. When the company opened in Fort Collins in 2008 this was the whole catalog: a flap-top rucksack drawn from the climbing packs of the 1970s, cut in heavy nylon, finished with leather lash tabs, and made without a single apologetic detail. Everything Topo has built since traces back to it, and the shape has barely moved in eighteen years because there was never much to fix.
It is a deceptively simple bag to live with. The flap and cinch mean you can overstuff it and still close it; the leather softens and darkens where your hands land; the 1000D shell picks up scuffs that read as history rather than damage. Buy one in your twenties and it will still be going in your forties, which is the quiet argument Topo has been making all along.
